F.E. FirstElectric Supply Ltd. is the first licensed independent electricity supplier in Cyprus. The company is licensed since 2018, from the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA), to participate as independent electricity supplier in the Cyprus electricity market during the transitional period but also after its full liberalisation.
The sister company, W2E1 Ltd., registered as electricity producer, is operating the first private large scale conventional power plant of the island. Through the years, the gained knowledge and expertise in the energy sector made First Electric and W2E1 leading participants in the electricity market of Cyprus.
First Electric’s experience in the energy sector dates back to 2003, which through a strategic agreement with Vassiliko Cement Works, supplied, installed and operated a 6 MW diesel power station which supplied more than 25% of the energy required by the cement factory. The company by performing detailed techno-economic studies with highly prominent international consultants has prepared its strategic business plan. Throughout the following years after our initial engagements have entered into agreement and cooperation with some of the most reputable and well-established companies in the field of the electricity production, like Wartsila, MAN and others.
